Today I’m grateful to have the amazing Emilia Farrace from Simply Elaborate Creative Agency in my life. Part of being an entrepreneur means working alone and in your head for most of the day. I’ve found it to be so beneficial to have her as my weekly accountability partner and now friend. She is not only an incredibly savvy and forward-thinking business owner and web designer (this one was born to run the show!) but she is also one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met.
Today’s conversation included topics like Google Analytics and learning to navigate and use your stats. But more importantly, we talked about the power of being authentic in your work.
So often, we find ourselves trying to keep up with others, both online and in the real world. There’s so much to be said for being true to yourself, your life, and your world. On the Internet, there is no shortage of both noise and gems, and it’s easy to get caught up in it and strive to be like those that are held as models or aspirational figures.
But that’s not the point. We connect with those that resonate with us for whatever reason. We want to share in their lives, how they grow as people, and in their interests. At least that’s what we concluded today. As I go into this new stage of my life, I hope that you continue to want to share in the adventures because I can’t wait to bring you along with me. Back to the coffee – funnily enough, Emilia and I have never been able to sit down and have a coffee together because we’ve never been in the same city! That’s one of the incredible things about online communities like Instagram and the Female Entrepreneur Association’s Member’s Club. You can connect with like-minded people from around the world. Thank you, Emilia, for our talk today and every Tuesday.
